Full Time Jailers
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is currently seeking qualified applicants for current and future Certified Jailer positions.
Starting pay: $23.42/hour
Step Raises at 61 days, 3 years, 7 years, and 12 years
BENEFITS

Jailers work 12 hour shifts and work 15 days each month. Every other weekend off is a 3-day weekend.
Preference will be given to current or retired jailers seeking lateral entry.
Successful candidates must pass the ACSO comprehensive pre-employment background, which includes but is not limited to written exam, medical exam, psychological exam, credit history, work history.
Full Time Patrol Deputy
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is currently seeking qualified applicants for current and future Certified Peace Officer positions.
Must hold a current TCOLE Peace Officer Certificate
Starting Salary: $26.28/hour (86 hours every 2 weeks) ($58,762 a year)
